Two Month Photo Shoot...

It is hard to believe that Maddie is 2 months old already! She is getting bigger and doing something new everyday. Her smile is precious and contagious :) Her two month checkup went well and is growing as we expected. She weighs 10lb. 6.5oz (44th percentile) and is 23 1/3 inches long (86th percentile). These numbers may foreshadow her Halloween costume...thanks for everyone's love and support. Below are pictures from her 2 month photoshoot with Dad. You can see the progression from excitement all the way to...we are done!

Fun-Filled Weekend...

We had such a fun (busy) weekend, it started out with football...of course.  We went to the Mt. Spokane game and Jeff filmed the Mead vs. Rogers game.  It was frigidly cold, but luckily we were able to be in the scouting box at Joe Albi.  Maddie is quickly becoming a big football fan, especially for the Wildcats.  We went to Greenbluff with Grammy after church on Sunday. Walter's Fruit Ranch was crazy...apparently we weren't the only one's with the idea to go.  We listened to fun music, had good food, and Maddie picked her own pumpkin.  She wasn't too thrilled with the idea of sitting in the pumpkin patch (as you can tell), maybe it is because the pumpkin is the size of her?

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful for Grandma (Debbie) and Grammy (Karen). We are so blessed that Maddie has two very special people that love her so much and are always encouraging!



I am thankful for our dog (son) Nils. We celebrated his 5th (35th in dog years) birthday on October 8th. He is such a good friend to Madison and has always been an integral part of our family. We appreciate his personality which always brings smiles to our faces :)


I am thankful for brothers and sisters. We are so blessed to have a large family and are lucky that we all enjoy spending time with eachother...we can't wait for Thanksgiving when everyone will be home. Settlers of Catan anyone?

I am thankful for having the best husband in the whole world. I feel blessed every morning I wake up to have such a supportive husband, best friend, and amazing Dad for Maddie.

I am thankful for crisp Autumn days in our neighborhood, which Maddie and I love to take walks in. We are lucky to live where we do with such great people around us!

I am thankful for our church, our pastor, and all those who support us in our faith. We are blessed to be part of our church body, FCA, and hopefully Young Lives (soon?).

I am thankful to be off of work, enjoying time with Madison. I love the way she snuggles, smiles, sneezes, and so much more.

Good times with my cousin...

Maddie got to spend some precious time with her cousin Claire this weekend. Claire was born on May 24th, so she is a bit bigger than Maddie. They have so much fun together, and we are excited for them to be friends for life. In case you didn't know, there were 4 "grandkids" born this last summer: Claire, Parker, Elsa, and Maddie. We will be having a photoshoot of all of them (and James) in November when everyone is in town for Thanksgiving. Grammy Karen has a Noah's Ark bench she wants all 5 of her grandkids to sit on for a picture...it will be her "new best day."

Maddie's One Month Photoshoot...

Maddie seemed nervous to have her 1 month photo shoot (done by mom and dad of course), but after giving her each of our fingers (see above), she squeezed hard and we found out the nervousness was really just gas:) Really though, she wasn't thrilled to model with props, but the Anne Geddes in me forced the situation. After putting Nils to bed for the night, the fun began. It all started with the wash basin. Then, I brought out a really cute pink bow and tied it around her. She is the best present we could have ever imagined. Then, we went a little too far with the decorative corn, but I don't think we will ever regret it. It will be fun looking back at these when she is all grown up and wants to know why she has such an aversion to corn! We thought we would share these few pics...believe me, there are many more where this comes from.

P.S. Thanks for continuing to pray for my mom! She is a rock, and she is a great example for us all! She and Maddie have had some great Grammy time:)
