Mexican Hawaii...

Although we went to San Diego in August, I thought I would put some of the pics on the blog. We had a blast! A friend of ours said, "It is like a cheaper, closer version of Hawaii." We second that one, except we would also add the "Mexican" piece. Jeff worked during the day (AP Conference), then we had family fun in the evening. Check out the pics below:Maddie loved Shamu!

Maddie made friends with a cute family from Mexico City at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse:)

Does it look like Maddie enjoyed her mashed taters or what?

Maddie is ONE!

Maddie dressed up for her "Fancy Nancy" birthday party! This post won't have much writing, but I wanted to be sure to throw some pics on the blog to share. She has blessed us with the best "year" of our lives.

Happy Cake made the cakes above and below...how cute!

I had to paint her toenails...fancy:)

We are so blessed with great friends and family!

Maddie thinking, "What do I do with this thing?"

She figured it out:)

All of that cake required two things: a bath and nap.

Seattle+Jazzies=FUN!

We went to Seattle recently for a celebration of my Grandma Sand's 90th birthday. As you will see below, she looks AMAZING! Maddie had the opportunity (a tough one to pass up) to rally sit on Grandma's Jazzy. My grandma was so cute talking about it. She gets around just fine, but she enjoys cruising around on longer distance trips. I hope she had a great birthday party! We also had a ton of fun hanging with the fam! Check out some of the pics below:

Maddie thought Ole was hilarious! He is 92 (I think)...and looked great as well. He seemed to enjoy "flat tiring" people as he hauled around with his walker.

Smiles around!

Swinging at Greenlake

We met up with one of our best friends Sean "Bud" for some Mexican. He just got back from Africa!
Great family dinner at the Crab Pot...mmmmmmm! Thanks Mom! We left out the pre dinner pictures. As we were waiting to get into the restaurant, a group of about 300 bicycles passed by, many of which were naked men and women. Good thing we didn't eat for quite some time after that. The wait was about an hour and a half, but well worth it!

Cousins:)

My mom and I loving our seafood!

Maddie loved her seafood too!

Reflections on our San Diego trip upcoming.
